Logan, welcome to the world!
I had the honor to photograph Logan a few days after he was born. I plan to add a few images along with this show in the next few days. Please check back for more new born images.

| The Chadwick - Wedding Receptions HDR Image |
I learned how to do HDR Photography from Trey Ratcliff of StuckInCustoms.com, and I have good news! Trey just released a new Photography, HDR, And Post-Processing Course that will teach you everything you need to know. Check it out here.
Every morning like clockwork, I can't wait to check out the new photo posted over at StuckInCustoms.com. I saw that Trey has released a new Photography, HDR, And Post-Processing Course. Over 11 hours of learning from Trey?
Both of these images were shot as HDR images and I utilized the skills that I learned from Trey.
After a recent wedding reception at The Chadwick, I set-up my tri-pod in the nearly empty parking lot and took a few images. Both images are a combination of 5 images with the aperture set to f/8.

Another option for this type of image is a greeting card and could be used for various themes. Maybe a general thinking of you card or a get well card. The simple but peaceful setting creates an almost endless list of possibilities.

Welcome to the world Rielle - Baby pictures and another miracle of God demonstrated
Monday, May 30th, my youngest daughter gave birth to her second child. A beautiful baby girl weighing in over 9 pounds. Wow! How can such a small woman give birth to a baby over 9 pounds? Her delivery was very quick and without issues. (Thank you Lord!)
We arrived early in the day to the hospital since her water 'partially' broke early in the morning but not much was happening. She sat on the bed, talked, and laughed with her family and best friend. We chatted and walked around for a few hours while she continued to get ready for the baby to be born. Then around 1302, Dan (her husband) came out and told us that it was "game time". (I will spare all the other details.) Thirty three minutes later Rielle Reign entered this amazing world weighing in at 9 pounds 1 oz and 22 1/2 inches singing and filling the room with her voice. Oh what a beautiful sound to hear. The cry of a new born child.
My daughter looked amazing after she delivered her daughter. To quote her - "I didn't break a sweat!" By God's amazing grace, her delivery went without any issues and you can see in the bottom photo that her hair was not messed up. :-D

Vendor Profile - DJ Otto Productions - Pittsburgh Weddings Seneca Valley Prom 2011
Recently I photographed the Seneca Valley Prom and the lighting and entertainment was by Otto Productions. As always, Frank and his team did an tremendous job providing amazing lights and entertainment. Not only were there great lights and music but he provided glow sticks, balloons, and beach balls. In the show below, you will see a combination of video and stills that illustrate only a fraction of the fun the youth had on their 2011 Senior Prom.

Wedding Engagement Images - Capturing Fun Moments - Buttermilk Falls
One item that I always attempt to get are a few fun shots of the groom to be. Too often guys are left out of the photography for one reason or another. However, one thing that I learned over the years is that it is always a good thing to grab a few shots of the guys. Too often portrait shots of guys do not appear masculine. One thing that I attempt to do is to create a masculine look with the guy photographs.
When Steve pulled up on his Harley for the engagement session, my mind started to race. What fun images can we capture that will tell who he represents and would be a great addition to their guest album.
The main light was an SUV parked to camera left. The headlights on the vehicle lit his face and part of the left side and a remote light behind him created separation from the background.
The next image is another favorite from the engagement shoot. I really like the circles of light and the overall glow of the image.

Wedding Engagement Session - Stephanie & Steve - Buttermilk Falls - Beaver County Photographer
Stephanie and Steve
Wedding Engagement Session
Buttermilk Falls ~ Beaver County, PA
Northwest of Pittsburgh, PA
If you follow this blog you will notice a familiar setting. Buttermilk Falls
I try to take photographs at this location in all four seasons since the look is similar but not the same. In the winter, the falls are a large frozen mass. In the spring, the water is flowing fast and furious with a tremendous roar making normal speech a challenge to be heard. The amazing part about photographing in the spring over any other time of the year is the size of the falls and the look that can be created.
I love to look at images with a water falls that has the soft creamy look. This effect is easily obtained by slowing down the shutter to 1/15 second or slower. However, the challenge is when there are people in the photo and standing on slick mud on a hillside without a tri-pod. I asked the couple to stand as still as possible and I crouched low and braced my arms on my body. This enabled me to hand hold this shot at 1/15 second which created the dreamy look.
After spending at least thirty minutes around the falls, we decided it was time to go to the spot above the falls which presents a beautiful view of the falls and surrounding area.
Steve brought his Harley and I couldn't pass up grabbing a few shots of it when the sun was nearly gone.

Jennifer and Andrew - Wedding Show - Pittsburgh Wedding Photography - Mayernik
Jennifer and Andrew were married at Victory Family Church in Cranberry Twp, PA. Approximately thirty minutes north of Pittsburgh. Their wedding reception was held at the Mayernik Center in Avonworth.
The audio from the ceremony which included her sister and friends singing was recorded and I used it as throughout the video to ensure the memory of their wedding is heard while they enjoy the images from their beautiful day.
