Geometric shapes

Look for geometric shapes!

In this photo the shapes within the brass instrument combined with the lines create a very nice image. I converted this to black and white in Lightroom.

The image was shot on the Nikon D200 with the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8. @ 1/40 second hand held. ISO 1250.

Check out the images on Roberto Valenzuela's site. He has an amazing ability to capture beautiful geometric shapes and lines in his wedding photography.

Halfpress.com pix from The Inauguration of Barack Obama

http://www.halfpress.com/

Aaron does a great job describing his view from behind the lens and preparing for shooting the inauguration. Some great reading and humor.

Remember, you miss every shot you fail to take!

Gigapan - inauguration photos

If you have not seen the photo posted by David Bergman of the inauguration then take the time and check out this 1400 meg photo. The site is set -up so you can zoom in and out on the photo. Check out the photographers in the middle of the shot on the tower. The site enables the viewer to zoom in anywhere on the scene.

If you never viewed a gigapan site then you are in for a tremendous experience. The images and the experience take photography to a new level. These images are not your 'normal' images from a point and shoot.

As always, get out and capture the beauty of life!
