Wedding Engagement Images - Capturing Fun Moments - Buttermilk Falls

One item that I always attempt to get are a few fun shots of the groom to be.  Too often guys are left out of the photography for one reason or another.  However, one thing that I learned over the years is that it is always a good thing to grab a few shots of the guys.  Too often portrait shots of guys do not appear masculine.  One thing that I attempt to do is to create a masculine look with the guy photographs.

When Steve pulled up on his Harley for the engagement session, my mind started to race.  What fun images can we capture that will tell who he represents and would be a great addition to their guest album.

The main light was an SUV parked to camera left.  The headlights on the vehicle lit his face and part of the left side and a remote light behind him created separation from the background.

The next image is another favorite from the engagement shoot. I really like the circles of light and the overall glow of the image.

Jennifer & Andrew - Wedding Engagement @ Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh

What better way to create summer in March in Pittsburgh?  Visit the Phipps Conservatory and enjoy the beauty, warmth, and amazing color!  Jennifer, Andrew, and I visited the Conservatory to photograph their wedding engagement photos and the setting could not have been better.  We were blessed with an amazing sun that poured into the glass roof and windows of the conservatory.

Too often when photographing an engagement session in Pittsburgh, weather is a major factor.  However, the beauty of the conservatory would make even the worst weather day in Pittsburgh seem beautiful.  The color, settings, architecture, and light provided an amazing setting for an engagement portrait shoot.

One of the best parts about an engagement session at the conservatory is that the couple is able to enjoy the beauty of the conservatory at the same time.

Every aspect of the conservatory brings hope of an upcoming spring and summer  to the Pittsburgh native as we finish off another harsh winter.

Please enjoy the engagement show that captures their love and smiles.

Alissa & Tim Wedding Engagement Show - Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers

I had the honor of photographing the engagement pictures of Alissa and Tim.  As always, I had a great time.  The pictures were taken in Butler County in a quiet beautiful park off 228 near Mars, PA.  Their wedding is later this year at Victory Family Church in Cranberry Twp.  A reception will follow at Shadow Lakes in Aliquippa, PA.

Nessa & Drew Wedding Engagement Pittsburgh, PA

Nessa and Drew were engaged near the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh, PA.  The images in this show are a reenactment of the original day that Drew proposed to Nessa. On the original day, Nessa was surprised but obviously accepted his proposal.

During this reenactment of their original engagement date, we walked along Station Square in the South Side of Pittsburgh, PA photographing along the way to document their beautiful day.  The weather was perfect during the evening and into the night.  After we grabbed a few fun shots behind the Grand Concourse, we moved our way along the river to a remnant of the industrial days in Pittsburgh.  We stopped at a flower stand along the walkway in Station Square and headed to the incline leading to Mt. Washington.  Mt. Washington presents an amazing view of the beautiful city of Pittsburgh and provides thousands of photography related opportunities.  While walking through the streets of Mt. Washington, we found a small but inviting set of shops which included an ice cream shop.  Nearby was an colorful mural of houses and trees on the wall of an old building and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to play and grab some fun shots.  Enjoy the slideshow to some romantic music.  Later in the week I will post a few still images of the engagement shoot which covered a beautiful section of Pittsburgh, PA.
